DANBURY, Conn.—

Charlotte Peters, 78, may simultaneously be the luckiest and unluckiest woman in the world. Charlotte was married to Donald Peters for 59 years and for the last 20 years Donald had a tradition of buying lottery tickets for himself and his wife, but never with much success. On November 1^st, the day Donald died, he bought 10 weeks worth of tickets. Within his last set of tickets he had no idea the fortune he would leave behind for his wife and family. Donald bought two lottery tickets for each drawing, as he always did, and later that day he suffered a fatal heart attack while working in his yard. During the month before the winning draw Charlotte was so distraught over Donald’s sudden passing that she nearly threw away her $10 million dollar fortune. Winner winner chicken dinner.
