Some would say there is nothing worse than annoying neighbors, and believe me I’ve had my fair share of them. Unfortunately though, annoying neighbors come in all shapes and sizes as far as the things they do. And after you move into a new home, or new neighbors move in next to you, it can take months to figure out which ones will be troublesome.
But annoying an elderly neighbor is just down right rude. Take for example this 82-year-old German man whose rude neighbors had been playing the same annoying, serenading music over and over again, day after day, night after night. He reported his problem to the police and said that his neighbors played the disruptive music at very irregular hours and at all times of the day and night, and it was driving him downright crazy.
Police came out to assist the gentleman with his problem and upon investigating found that he had a musical greeting card sitting in the windowsill and the breeze from the open window would randomly open the card and cause it to play the tune around the clock. Hey, I can’t fault the poor guy, 82 is 82 and annoying is annoying. At least he can be thankful that he still has good ears.
The moral of th story: It’s not always the neighbor’s fault.

Where Are You, Dear?

MARGATE, FL -
An elderly South Florida man, we’ll call Jack, has always been a very sweet and caring man. For his entire marriage, Jack has always taken the best possible care he could of his beloved wife, who we’ll call Margaret. On this particular Tuesday in southeast Florida it was raining pretty hard. Jack, being the caring husband that he he is, decided he would back the car as close to the house as possible so Margaret did not have to get wet. After backing the car into place he waited for a few minutes. When Margaret didn’t enter the car Jack went back into the house to find her. Jack was inside looking for several minutes with no success.
Jack had no idea where his wife had gone until a neighbor found Margaret stuck underneath the car. Jack had backed over her and she was pinned beneath it. Firefighters showed up and had to use airbags to lift the car off of her. The good news: she was expected to make a full recovery.
The moral of the story: It REALLY is the thought that counts.

I’ve Fallen And I Can’t Get Up

GREENDALE, Wis.—
It was a normal Sunday for Betty Borowski and all she wanted to do was go to the market for a few groceries. But the 91-year-old had no idea she was in for an exciting couple of days. When Betty could not find her keys she crawled under her car headfirst looking for them. Unfortunately, Betty became pinned under the axle of the car, where she remained for two days.
On Tuesday her mail carrier noticed that her mail had not been picked up from Monday’s delivery, which was very uncharacteristic of Betty, so he rang her doorbell and asked a neighbor whether he had seen her. When she could not be found they called the police. Betty was eventually found and firefighters used a jack to lift the car off of her. She had appeared to have suffered a mild heart attack, but was otherwise recovering.
Not to rub salt in the wound, but Betty, the keys were in the door of the car:(
The moral of the story: When the keys are in the door, don’t crawl under the car looking for them.

ZURICH, Switzerland —
God bless her. An elderly woman woke up early one Thursday morning to the scary sight of her television set on fire. She desperately called the fire department and they rushed to her aid, hoping they would make it before her house burned to the ground.
As the firemen entered the residence they looked for any signs of smoke or fire, but found nothing out of the ordinary. What they did find, however, was the poor woman’s TV turned to a German station that at night aired a constant image of a fireplace.
With a simple click of the TV remote, the fire was extinguished.
The moral of the story: Always turn your TV off before falling asleep.
