Who Is That Masked Man?
Most people (in their right minds) would never rob a bank…..and would never even so much as consider it. Robbing a bank is a Federal offense and doing so brings upon Federal charges and a Federal prison sentence. So, the reality of it is…..robbing a bank just plain does not make much sense at all and is usually done out of complete desperation. Yet, every single day, many many banks are robbed in the United States and worldwide.
How much courage would it take to rob four banks in the same city? Or take it one step further…….how much courage would it take to rob the same bank four times? Obviously, a lot of courage, but also a lot of stupidity too. At the Tamarac BankAtlantic branch in Southern Florida, that’s exactly what one man did. The heavyset crook knocked off the same bank four times and won each time. He became so well known and expected at the bank that upon his last withdrawal, one bank teller said to another, “He’s here again.”
I can’t understand the concept of taking on the same bank four times, because eventually you will get caught…..or at least that’s what logic dictates. But after four heists, the local police and FBI still have not caught their man, and that leaves me scratching my head. So who’re the stupid ones here: the idiot that keeps robbing the same bank or the authorities that cannot catch him and have no idea who he even is?
The moral of the story: It’s not smart robbing the same bank four times, but also not smart letting the culprit continue to get away with it time after time.
