Something Smells Fishy
Domestic disputes are filled with passion that often turns into anger then rage. So it’s no surprise that they can get real ugly real fast. In most cases, after a little time has passed, and all parties involved have had time to cool down, a happy ending will prevail. While happy endings are usually the outcome of a domestic dispute, it doesn’t always turn out that way. Sometimes tragedy is sadly the outcome, but sometimes it’s just plain revenge.
A Texas couple in a common-law marriage had many good years, but in the end, it all ended in a case of revenge. One day when things were bad the wife and husband argued about some jewelry that he had given her, then taken back. Naturally, feeling the bling was rightfully hers, she wanted it returned. Since he had the real gold, she wanted the family goldfish. When he refused to return the precious metal, the woman went to his apartment and took the seven goldfish that the two had purchased together in happier times.
He called the police to see if they could help him get his beloved little pets returned. At the time neither he nor the police knew that since the fish were purchased when they were happily together they were considered community property and belonged to her as much as him. But they went to her home anyway to see if they could retrieve the pets. When they arrived and asked her for the fish, she pointed to the kitchen and said they were in there. When the officers entered the kitchen they found that three of the fish were missing and the other four had been fried and were sitting on a plate. She said she had already eaten the other three.
I wonder if she used ketchup or ranch dressing to wash down the little critters?
The moral of the story: When you are bound and determined to get even by killing the family’s goldfish, flushing them down the toilet is just as effective as eating the damn things.
