Bob RocksAMHERST, Massachusetts-

Anyone who knows Bob Dylan knows Bob Rocks……and has for 50 years. Obviously, I don’t know Bob Dylan personally, but rumor has it he’s a pretty cool dude. Thousands of University of Massachusetts students were recently treated to a classic concert, by none other than the legend himself, Mr. Bob Dylan.

To prove how cool he really is, after the concert Bob decided he was going to feed his stage crew and possibly many more. Shortly after Dylan performed at the University, a crew member wearing a Bob Dylan backstage pass entered Antonio’s pizza parlor in Amherst and ordered pizzas for the entire crew, and boy did he ever order up. Bob must have told him to spare no expense in feeding the hard working men and women. He ordered enough pizza from Walter Pacheco, the owner of Antonio’s, to feed an army.

Not wanting to disappoint a living legend, and wanting to score a huge payday, Walter Pacheco called all hands on deck, and had workers at the pizza parlor until 5am, spitting out the 178 pies Bob’s butler ordered. The man said he would return in a couple hours to pick up the order. But as time went on Walter worried……and worried…..and worried, and Mr. Backstage Pass Man never returned for the $3,900 order he placed. Yep, you guessed it, he was a fake……and whoever he was, he didn’t even know the legend. And obviously I lied, Bob had absolutely nothing to do with the fake feast.

Poor Walter had to give some of the pizzas away and the rest got dumped. But I really have a hard time feeling sorry for Wally. Who takes an order for $3,900 worth of food from a guy only wearing a Bob Dylan backstage pass, without a least investigating a little? Someone saw dollar signs and didn’t stop and use their noggin. It’s not like Bob, himself, walked in the door and placed the order.

The moral of the story: Take a deposit of at least 50%.
