I’ll Stay With You Till The End

I'll stay with you till the endGREELEY, Colo. -

We commonly hear about how loyal dogs are to their human companions. But this story seems to go above and beyond that theory, proving once and for all that canines are, indeed, man’s best friend.

Twenty five year old Jake Baysinger’s body was found in the Pawnee National Grasslands, a remote area about 75 miles northeast of Denver. He had died of an apparent suicide. Baysinger’s wife reported him missing on June 28th, but an extensive search for him turned up nothing. It was not until the second week of August that a rancher found him with his loyal German Shepherd, Cash, at his side. Cash was dehydrated and thin but in overall good health. Authorities determined that for six weeks the dog had survived by eating rabbits and mice and whatever else she could find, all the while guarding her beloved master’s body from coyotes and other predators.

The moral of the story: You can probably trust that darn mutt more than anyone.
